Here's a message about the Oregon Country Fair from....well let's just call her Godd Forbid...Have you been to Oregon country fair, ingloriously referred to by Reverend Chumleigh (of the Church of the Incandescent Resurrection,,ha ha) as a "hippie theme park"? It is a unique continuation to Pranksterism if ever you wanted one... I remember back in about 1974 at the Country Fair (no relation to county fairs, by the way) then known as the Oregon Rennaissance Faire, when Ken traded me for some excellent Nepalese hash what he had to offer--some liquid Owsley acid. "Here's one drop, that will do fine," he said. "Here's another drop--that will really get you off," he added. "And here's a third: I'd never do that much again." Whoa. What have I gotten myself into, I wondered. Some excellent views of starry skies that night in a place made to order for happy tripping...Out in the woods in Oregon on what is known locally as "hippie hill", god forbid.
